Jenna has been on her yoga journey for over 20 years and began teaching 5 years ago. She discovered the restorative powers of yoga in her teenage years as a relief from the impact of sports and the gym workouts. She loves living in Lake Tahoe and enjoys snowboarding, hiking, mountain biking, wakeboarding, surfing, and paddleboarding. With a passion for sports and the outdoors, her experience in the therapeutic benefits of a well rounded yoga practice has allowed her to help others find relief. The most influential aspect of yoga is learning to slow down and let go, as well as creating a consistent meditation practice. Taking time to reflect is very important to bring balance between the heart and the mind.
She attended yoga classes from Amrito Cross and Lorilyn Haubrich at Lake Tahoe Community College and Mountain Yoga (later renamed Tahoe Shala).
Jenna loves to travel and experience new perspectives and cultures. She traveled to Rishikesh, India in 2016 to obtain her 200 hour yoga teacher training under Yogi Chetan Mahesh at Association for Yoga & Meditation Yoga School. She is trained in Hatha and Modern Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow, as well as experience in teaching Restorative, Yin, Hot, and Paddleboard Yoga. Her style is a mix of energy building, therapeutic release and overall well-being connecting movement with breath.
After returning from training in Rishikesh, India in 2016 she began teaching at Omni Tahoe in 2017. Omni offered a variety of yoga classes that Jenna taught including: Restorative, Yin, Hot, Vinyasa Flow and Yogalates. She continued her practice outside the studio offering private and group lessons, as well as paddleboard yoga and international retreats. She continues to teach online, in person and private and group sessions.
